What file formats are supported for brand guidelines?
I have my brand guidelines in different formats. What file types can I upload to PaletteCheck?
- PDF files?
- Word documents?
- Image files?
What's the recommended format?

PaletteCheck currently supports PDF files for brand guideline uploads. This is the recommended format because:
- PDFs preserve formatting and layout
- They're easy to extract text and images from
- Most design tools can export to PDF
- PDFs maintain color accuracy
- Format: PDF only
- Maximum size: 50MB
- Recommended: Single, well-organized document
If you have your guidelines in other formats (Word, PowerPoint, etc.), you can export them to PDF first. Most design software like Adobe InDesign, Figma, or Canva can export to PDF format.
