What's a 'good' compliance score to aim for?

by Team PaletteCheckContent AnalysisNov 19, 2025 at 11:59 AM

The "right" score depends on your context, but here are some guidelines:

External Content (social, ads, website):
  • Target: 85%+
  • Minimum: 80%
  • These represent your brand publicly
Internal Content (emails, docs):
  • Target: 75%+
  • More flexibility acceptable
Sales/Marketing Collateral:
  • Target: 90%+
  • High stakes = high standards

Important Note:
The score is less important than WHAT the violations are.

Example:
  • 85% score with 3 low-severity issues = GOOD ✅
  • 88% score with 1 high-severity issue = NEEDS FIX ⚠️

Always check the violation details, not just the number!

Our Team's Rule:
  • Must fix: All high-severity violations
  • Should fix: Medium-severity before external publish
  • Nice to fix: Low-severity when time permits

What score thresholds does your team use?
