Why does my content score differently for text vs image analysis?

by Team PaletteCheckContent AnalysisDec 1, 2025 at 8:47 PM

If you've noticed different scores when checking text vs. images, here's why:

Text Analysis Checks:
  • Voice and tone
  • Messaging guidelines
  • Forbidden words
  • Writing style
  • Brand personality alignment
Image Analysis Checks:
  • Color accuracy
  • Logo usage and placement
  • Typography in images
  • Photography style
  • Visual brand elements
They're Measuring Different Things:
  • Text analysis: How your WORDS represent the brand
  • Image analysis: How your VISUALS represent the brand

Example:
A social post image might score 95% (perfect colors, good logo) but the caption scores 70% (wrong tone).

Best Practice:
For complete content pieces, analyze BOTH the visual and the text separately, then address all violations.
